Michael Flores – Director / Writer (3 Solitude)

Michael Flores began his lucrative career of corporate management within the fitness industry at the early age of 18 while attending film school. Michael successfully managed multi-million dollar fitness facilities, turning huge profits over to share holder quarter after quarter all while writing several feature screenplays some of which were optioned for production. These titles include “Pleasing Connie”, “Cazador”, “Chopped, Wrapped and Blood smeared clothes”, and an ambitious supernatural western, titled “Los Diablos de Tenochtitlan”, which is currently being rewritten for the purpose of reaching an option agreement.

Furthermore, within the past two years Michael has stepped behind the camera and produced, wrote and directed various short films some if which are “Look out! Indio Has a Gun and a Cigarette”, which received high appraise from many local industry professionals, “Changing Targets” and the highly anticipated “Mexica Curse”. Also, in 2007 Michael Flores won best Cinematographer of the year at the SCC film festival for the short film “P.I. Blues”.

Michael Flores is also the creator, director, writer and cinematographer of the web series Western X.  The Show premiered on KoldCast.tv in winter 2010.  Since then Western X was an Official Selection of the Beverly Hills Film, TV and New Media Festival in 2010 and The Independent Film Quarterly Film & New Media Festival 2011, where the show was honored with the “Best Fantasy Web Series” award. Western X was also honored with “Outstanding Drama Series”, “Outstanding Direction in a Drama Series” and “Outstanding Cinematography in a Drama Series” at the LA Web Series Festival 2011. Western X is a 16 part Web Series followed by a spin off series, A Six Gun for Lobo, which Michael Flores has already written and will begin shooting in the Spring of 2012.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) recently nominated Flores for the ‘Digital 25: Visual & Digital Effects’ award, Which recognizes 25 visionaries, innovators and pioneers who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of storytelling through digital media.

This past November Western X was part of the ITN Distribution Film & New Media Festival in New York City, where show creator Michael Flores received the award for Best Directorial Debut of New Media/Websisode.
